RheoStream® FC for Quality Control in Paint Production
RheoStream® FC is an automatic process viscosity analyzer, which can provide the paints’ viscosity curves during production at a controlled shear rate(s) and temperature.
With RheoStream, viscosity can be automatically controlled and adjusted.
Getting Started With RheoStream®
With RheoStream, you can monitor the viscosity and make sure that the viscosity stays within limits and the process is in control. Having near-real-time information means that now viscosity is a parameter that can be automatically adjusted — no more waiting for manual analysis and no more re-processing or scrapping of off-spec material.
Why Temperature Control and Shear Rate Are Important When You Measure Viscosity
Viscosity changes considerably depending on the liquid temperature and the liquid’s shearing – two properties that vary inside the production equipment due to the change in production steps and mixers in tanks or during pumping of the liquid.

RheoStream® : A Fully Automated Process Rheometer
RheoStream® is a fully automated process rheometer for real-time measurement of viscosity, shear-thinning, and apparent yield stress in viscous, non-Newtonian liquids like paints, detergents, soaps, lotions, and dressings. Read here how RheoStream suits your needs, how it works, and how to install.
Different Types of Rheometers
“Different Types of Rheometers” is an article explaining what properties are essential to measuring precisely how thick or thin a liquid is (its viscosity), which instrument (rheometer) to use, and the pros and cons of each type.
How RheoStream® Can Help You, Even When You Have Given Up on Other Viscometers
Often, careful consideration of all available options has led to the conclusion that there is no way to measure the viscosity profile with a process analyzer reliably. The alternative is measuring the samples manually.
With RheoStream®, think again.
Why Shear Rate Matters in Process Control
Most practitioners are familiar with the term “viscosity” – it tells if a liquid is thin or thick. However, many liquids are more complex and you need to consider rheology – RheoStream can help.
Optimizing Paint Production Using RheoStream® FC
With an increased need for digitalization and automation of production processes, monitoring critical to quality (CTQs) parameters can improve the production performance by providing valuable information regarding the process metrics.
ý Welcomes Its Newest Interns to the Team
ý introduces Tobias Lynggaard Hansen and Frederik Vilstrup as interns to the ý team. The two share their experiences at ý, their academic journey, and their career paths.
